Pre-Qualified Non-Profits
Pre-qualified non-profits play a vital role in enhancing affordable housing through the Rental Protection Fund.
It takes a village to protect affordable housing
No single organization can do it alone. The Rental Protection Fund works in close collaboration with partners across the community housing sector and related industries to make acquisitions possible and preserve affordability for the long term.

Non-profit organizations play a pivotal role in providing, developing and managing social support and affordable housing in British Columbia with approximately 75% of affordable housing stock currently operated by non-profits.
The following represents the Non-Profit Housing Providers that have advanced through the Stage 1 Process as of the time of this report, and are now actively acquiring properties that meet the Fund’s eligibility criteria. With the support of the Fund, these organizations will acquire, renew, and operate rental properties that were previously at-risk of displacement, under a non-profit, affordability-focused mandate.

Financial partners play a critical role in protecting affordable housing
Alongside contributions from the Fund, their support makes it possible for non-profit housing providers to acquire at-risk rental buildings. This kind of collaboration takes shared vision—partners who understand the long-term value of preserving affordability.
Together, with committed financial partners, we can protect and reinvest in affordable homes for generations to come.
